Taking the Challenge Head On

Wow, what a week!  It was a regular Tuesday when I got “the call.”  Meaghan Mooney from Great Day Washington informed me they’re celebrating their 1 year anniversary and she thought it would be great idea to have cookies with their pictures on it.  Well, of course it is!  So they need them Thursday and so it begins…The Grind.  We were ALMOST done with our new website, but not close enough to take on large web traffic, so we had to make some quick moves.  David, exhausted from school work and other projects, arrives to the store at 10pm and goes to work…all night…I met him around 4:30am to help.  Talk about dedication!  How lucky are we to have such an incredible team?!  20 hours later, around 1:15am, I found myself driving the treats to the WUSA9 station to drop off “the goods”.  It was a whirlwind of a night/day to say the least.  This is what it’s all about!  So worth it!

6am Thursday and it was THE DAY.  By 8am I woke up to this gem!  Smiling faces, our custom cookies, and a shout out to all their followers…what more could you ask for?!

While it was certainly an exciting opportunity for new exposure, it was such an honor to be able to share our treats with the incredibly hard working team at Great Day Washington.  Darrell Green, the Pro Football Hall of Famer, was on OUR cookies.  How cool is that?!  We’re looking forward to seeing the Great Day Washington camera crew in our shop later this year for another exciting collaboration!

Until Next Time,
